Andrea Kuchlewska
Playwright
New York, New York USA
Where do you look for inspiration? The rhythms of everyday language. History. The sea.
What’s your favorite line from a play? My two favorites are: “Why don’t you get your tooth fixed?!” from Christopher Durang’s Laughing Wild; and “Whereto if you’ll a willing ear incline, What’s mine is yours, and what is yours is mine,” from Measure for Measure.
Is there anything you still dream of doing? Creating and living in an artist co-housing community. Speaking Polish fluently.
What is your best escape? General Hospital.
What’s the one thing nobody knows about you? I learned how to swim five weeks before I did my first triathlon.
